Cederquist was founded in 1953 when Bengt Cederquist, who was in-house counsel at one of Sweden's largest media groups, decided to start his own law practice. We have come a long way since then. Today, Cederquist is a value-driven firm organised as a true partnership with 170 employees working together as one team. We benefit from each other's expertise and strive towards the same goal: to stay at the forefront and lead the market within our fields of expertise.

The importance of acting sustainably
We are convinced of the importance of acting sustainably in all contexts. In an ever-changing society, the need for accountability is greater than ever. We work constantly to improve our business, our advice, and our working methods in order to deliver the highest quality in every instance.
We also do what we can to give back, have an impact, and make a difference in society. We support organisations and projects through pro bono work, involvement, and sponsorships. Our largest efforts are our cooperation with Sweden for UNHCR, Mentor, and the Swedish Chess Federation. In addition, we are involved in projects such as Aktiv Skola, Nolltolerans mot mobbning, and Stockholms stadsmission.
The art of managing sustainability issues
We offer our clients assistance on matters regarding sustainability, ESG, and CSR so that they can better manage risks and opportunities related to human rights, working conditions, the environment, and anti-corruption. In recent years, many clients have recognised that sustainability is strategically important to their transactions and we have extensive experience in dealing with these issues.

Each year, the largest international ranking institutes conduct surveys in which they ask buyers of legal services to evaluate their legal consultants. Year after year, we continue to be at the top, and are consistently ranked as one of Sweden’s premier law firms. We are very proud of this. In 2021 Cederquist also won Law Firm of the Year, a client and industry survey award conducted by the analyst firm Regi.
