Cederquist has assisted Nordax Bank AB (publ), Bank Norwegian ASA and their owners in connection with the implementation of a cross-border merger between the Swedish and the Norwegian bank, respectively. The merger was implemented with Nordax Bank as the surviving company and Bank Norwegian as the transferring company, with the operations of Bank Norwegian being continued through Nordax Bank’s Norwegian branch.
Nordax Bank and Bank Norwegian are leading specialist banks in Northern Europe and owned by Nordic Capital Fund IX, Nordic Capital Fund VIII and Sampo. Through the merger of the two companies, Nordax Bank becomes the largest independent specialist consumer finance lender in the Nordics.
