Cederquist wins the ‘Deal of the Year – Project Finance’ award at IFLR Europe Awards 2025

At the 2025 IFLR Europe Awards, Cederquist was awarded ‘Deal of the Year – Project Finance’ in relation to the financing of Stegra’s (formerly H2 Green Steel) giga-scale steel production plant in Boden, Sweden for the production of green steel.

The project involved a number of stakeholders and representatives from both Cederquist’s practice groups and other law firms, with whom we are pleased to share this honour.

Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) is a Swedish company founded in 2020 with the aim of producing steel with a virtually fossil-free process using hydrogen produced on-site using electricity from renewable sources.

Presented by the ranking institute IFLR, the IFLR Europe Awards celebrates the legal industry’s most innovative work, with a special focus on cutting-edge achievements in cross-border transactions.
