Our IT and Telecom team assists clients daily in complex IT transactions such as outsourcing, systems procurement, development projects, contracts for cloud services and technology partnerships of various kinds. Transactions are often global in scope. We also advise on matters and transactions relating to the Internet, social media, apps, e-commerce, open source, licensing and other commercialisation of rights, privacy, information security and regulatory issues in telecommunications.

Providing top quality, commercial advice requires us to understand our clients’ business, the technology and exactly how IT will assist the business. Our lawyers have extensive experience in IT and telecommunications in practice and are able to provide creative and concrete advice on e.g. how to build business models. The advice may also relate to the structure of the transaction for optimal support of commercial targets, suitable price models, and how service descriptions can be drafted and adapted to the transaction.

We work in small, efficient teams and adapt to the client’s specific needs. We have extensive experience of efficient management of all stages of outsourcing projects and other major procurements. This includes everything from procurement planning to monitoring of current deliveries. We usually work in a team with our client’s IT, business and purchases division or external procurement consultants. Alternatively, we act as a sounding board, providing quick advice and assisting our clients’ in-house lawyers with documentation. When needed, we draw on the expertise of Cederquist’s other practice groups, e.g. Employment & Benefits and EU and Competition Law.
